Thank you so very much to everyone who contributed to the amazing success of pudding day. With donations, pudding day and sunflower sales to date we have raised £3000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Woohoo!!! Pudding day was absolutely crazy. There was a phenomenal turnout with people armed with puddings just flooding through the doors. I can hardly find the words to express our gratitude to have such wonderful support from our friends, family and what felt like the half the population of Cumbria!
Annie had to come home for a while by about 3.00p.m. – the chaos got a bit much for her! Once Janet Allen face-painter extraordinaire had painted her as a tiger she got into the swing of things again. It was well after 8.00pm before we got cleared up and home. None of us slept well that night, our heads were still buzzing with it all.
Still tired from it.
Next event our May Day stall in Penrith on Monday. Come and have a game of Play Your Cards Right! Dare you go all the way??
Spoons at the ready!!!! Hope to see you there.
Pudding Day is almost here! Could all friends who so kindly offered to make puddings for the original date please let us know if you are still able to help?
Annie is very excited as Janet Allen, face painter, phoned this morning to say that she would come along and paint faces on Sunday from 3.00p.m. onwards for a donation to Leukaemia Research. I’m hoping Annie will let Janet paint her as a little sunflower but at the moment she’s thinking she’d rather be a monkey or a fairy!

Congratulations to cousin Sara and her family and friends on completing a sponserd walk from Askham to Penrith via Whale and Lowther Castle and raising well over £200. Annie was there to bike along and see them off and then meet them at the end.
